Synopsis
Pati’s world is turned upside down when her laptop is stolen and she becomes the target of an anonymous blackmailer, pushing Pati to her limits. Faced with the ineffectiveness of the legal forces, she understands she must find her way out herself. She engages in a process to regain control over her privacy, using the very ways used against her to threaten her, in this diary exposing the vulnerability of intimacy online.Director Patricia Franquesa’s harrowing encounter with digital blackmail unfolds as a real-time diary, cleverly employing the same media used against her – emails, photos, and videos – to reclaim her narrative. An important and innovative meditation on the fragility of privacy in the digital age.

Patricia FRANQUESA
Patricia Franquesa is a director, producer, and co-founder of Gadea Films. She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Ramón Llull University and a Master’s in Creative Documentary from Pompeu Fabra University. Launching her career in Tel Aviv, she contributed to projects including Censored Voices (Mor Loushy, 2015) and The Oslo Diaries (Mor Loushy, Daniel Sivan, 2019) before returning to her native Barcelona to produce La Mami (Laura Herrero Garvín, 2019). She made her directorial debut with the award-winning documentary Oh Dear Sara (2021).
