Biografie
Pierre Cocq-Amann is a musician based in Metz. After a fine career in classical music, awarded by 3 gold medals, several international prizes (UFAM, WATRELLOS, BELLAN…) and a diplomas (CEFEDEM ILE-DE-FRANCE), the multi-instrumentalist became more interested in contemporary music, which he explored on his own before going to the Centre des Musiques de Didier Lockwood (CMDL) where he obtained his diploma in just one year.
A few years later, he completed a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in sax-jazz at the Maastricht Conservatoire.
A passionate, insatiable and hyperactive musician, Pierre has played all over the world (Asia, India, Europe, Africa and the United States). He loves combining different experiences. He was a saxophonist with Musique RTNE for 5 years, and organist in the Saint Julien-les-Metz’ parish. He regularly meets painters, dancers and actors, explores world music and tries out as many instruments and styles as possible.
Since September 2015, he has been teaching classical saxophone, jazz and world music at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg.
