Biography

Born in 1977 in Bucharest, Romania, Radu Jude worked as an assistant director and made several short films before moving onto feature films with The Happiest Girl in the World. He directed three other features, including 2015’s Aferim!. In 2016, he directed Ingmar Bergman’s Scenes from a Marriage at the National Theatre of Timisoara. In 2021, he released Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn, which won the Golden Bear at the Berlinale. In 2023, Don’t Wait Too Long for the End of the World received critical acclaim and numerous awards.
