Biography

Vicky Krieps is an award-winning actress known for her work across both European and International cinema. Having studied at the Zurich University of Arts, she started in German and Luxembourgish features. Vicky’s International breakout role was in Phantom Thread (2017), opposite Daniel Day Lewis, in Paul Thomas Anderson’s masterpiece. Further credits include Mia Hansen-Løve’s drama Bergman Island, Mathieu Amalric’s Hold me tight, M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller, Old, Raoul Peck’s The young Karl Marx or Marie Kreutzer’s Corsage for which she won Best Performance in the Un Certain Regard category at Cannes Film Festival. Most recently, Vicky starred as ‘Ingeborg Bachmann’ in Margarethe von Trotta’s Ingeborg Bachmann: Journey into the desert which premiered at Berlinale. She has recently wrapped filming The Dead don’t hurt, directed by, and also starring, Viggo Mortensen.
