Biography
The first experiences of Iness Chakir (19 y.) in youth policy were in the youth parliament of Luxembourg, where she was a member for 3 years. During these years, she became Secretary General, as well as representative in the National Youth Council. Subsequently, she became the first female president of the youth parliament since its creation.
At the international level, she was appointed representative of Luxembourg citizens at the Conference on the Future of Europe. She was also appointed young delegate of Luxembourg to the UN and she accompanied the diplomatic delegation of her country to the Permanent Mission of Luxembourg to the United Nations in New York.
Alongside her political commitment, she was also active on the social level, through the creation of an association called “Aidons-tous Solidarité asbl”, which she has chaired for 4 years and with which she organizes a humanitarian mission. In addition, she was a young delegate of UNICEF Luxembourg for 3 years.
