Synopsis
Rose and her daughter Sofia embark on a journey to Almería, on the Spanish coast, to find a cure for Rose’s strange illness. In the sultry atmosphere of this sun-drenched town — Sofia, who has always been controlled by her mother’s illness — discovers another reality through the mysterious Ingrid.

Rebecca Lenkiewicz is a British playwright, screenwriter, director, and actress. She is best known as the author of Her Naked Skin (2008), which was the first original play written by a living female playwright to be performed on the Olivier stage of the Royal National Theatre. As a screenwriter, she is best known for Ida (2013), Disobedience (2017) and She Said (2022). Hot Milk is her directorial debut.
