Synopsis
As the star player at an elite tennis academy, Julie’s life revolves around the game she loves. When her coach falls under investigation and is suddenly suspended, all the players from the club are encouraged to speak up. But Julie decides to keep quiet.
Set in the very defined perimeter of the sport world – a microcosm if there ever was one – Leonardo van Dijl looks into the contemporary questions surrounding the liberation of speech and the power of silence.Julie, the protagonist, is remarkable in her ability to resist peer pressure.

Leonardo VAN DIJL
Leonardo van Dijl is a scenarist and a director who lives in Belgium. His last short, Stephanie (2020) was selected in Cannes, San Sebastian, Toronto and over 150 film festivals where it won numerous awards. Leonardo’s first feature film, Julie Keeps Quiet is a co-production between De Wereldvrede, Les Films du Fleuve, Hobab, and Film i Väst.
