Kiyan AGADJANI

Born in Luxembourg to Iranian parents, Kiyan Agadjani found his way to the arts first through classical piano, which was soon replaced with a love for the silver screen. In 2016, he was a jury member of the Giornate Degli Autori during the Venice Film Festival, after which he decided to become a filmmaker. He moves to the UK in 2018, where he studies filmmaking at the University of Kent and makes his first short film George Barton (2021). In 2021, Kiyan returns to Luxembourg, where he works as screenwriter, director and assistant director. His latest short Arman & Elisa (2023) won the award for Best Short at the Austin Film Festival, which qualified him for the 2025 Academy Awards. With his newest film Linda, Linda! (2025), Kiyan takes a shift from two social dramas to a genre film, all while trying to stay true to what matters to him the most: telling the little stories of society for the big screens of cinema.
