Moitié Moi
Synopsis
Over a period of two years, filmmaker Kim El Ouardi and visual artist Nora Wagner have captured the creative process of a group of dancers during the creation of their new piece. All along the movie, four very different people, sharing the love for street-dance, expose their individual and their collective research around identity, work, culture, gender and everything else that makes a person who they are.
Moitié Moi seeks to capture the complexity of society by blurring the boundaries between fiction and documentary. Using the subjectivity of the eye, it combines realism and imaginary scenes. By highlighting the power of dance and its universal language, the directors raise the individual and collective difficulties we face every day in finding our place within society.
