Synopsis
A thirteen-year-old aspiring journalist investigates his father’s mysterious murder within the boundaries of one of Kenya’s largest wildlife conservancies. As a ravaging drought encroaches, his quest to find the killer shifts and an activist is born as the collateral damage of a warming world is revealed.

Debra is a Kenyan filmmaker and producer with a passion for telling stories that capture the nuanced realities of communities facing the effects of a global climate crisis. Her work seeks to highlight the challenges they face while also exploring the resilience and hope that sustain them. Nicole GORMLEY
Nicole is a documentary filmmaker, photographer, and ocean advocate with the central aim to tell stories that inspire people to value our relationship to the natural world. Approaching projects from the lens of a shared human experience she believes in the power of storytelling and its ability to increase empathy and create impact. She’s produced projects in over fifty countries for several of the world’s leading media outlets including, Netflix’s Emmy-nominated series Ugly Delicious and dozens of international expeditions for brands and networks. Nicole’s directing work includes the award-winning short films, Lessons From Jeju, Monster in Our Closet, and Daughter of the Sea.
