The Echo (El Eco)
Synopsis
In the isolated village of The Echo, children tend to sheep and care for their elders. As frost and drought punish the land, they come to understand death, sickness, and love through what is said and left unsaid by their parents. A story about what lies in the soul, about home, rebellion, and vertigo in the face of life. About growing up.
Acclaimed for her previous documentaries, Tatiana Huezo signals a new ode to life in its purest simplicity with patient attention to details and the slow, sometimes difficult process of learning what makes us human. An intense and emotional communion between the viewer and those she films.
