Julia OCKER

Julia Ocker is an animation director, designer and author from Stuttgart. She studied Visual Communication in Pforzheim and Animation at the Filmakademie in Baden-Württemberg. Her Graduation film Kellerkind won the First Steps Awards 2012, the Tricky Women Prize 2013 and was nominated for the 2014 Annie Awards. Julia discovered her passion for children’s movies as she had the opportunity to produce five short films with Studio FILM BILDER for the SWR series, “I know an Animal”. From these five short films her own series Animanimals was created, it then went on to be shown on KiKa and sold to more than 180 international territories. As every episode works as a short film they have run in many festivals worldwide and won more than 70 awards. Animanimals won the 2019 Grimme-Preis in the children’s film category and was nominated for an International Emmy.

Dace RĪDŪZE

Dace Rīdūze is from Latvia where she studied at Riga Pedagogical and Educational Highschool to be school theater director and teacher of art and obtained a master’s degree from the Latvian Academy of Pedagogy and Psychology.
In 1997 she started working at the Film Studio Animacijas Brigade ltd. as an animator, and since 2000 also as a director.
She was nominated several times for her work and received the 2003 Audience Price for her short Kaki at the Carrousel International du Film de Rimouski (Canada).

Alexandra ALLEN

Alexandra Allen is from Portugal, where she graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Porto and followed a master’s degree in Illustration and Animation at the Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e do Ave, where she made the short film O Chapéu, winner of the Sophia Student Prize in 2018.
As an animation film author, she actively presents projects at national and international film festivals and she was nominated in 2016 for the CinEuphoria Awards with her short Ventre.

Philip WATTS
Philip WATTS

Philip Watts is an animator from Melbourne, Australia.
His 2013 film Bless You played at over 25 festivals and won Best Animated film at the 2013 Portland Film Festival.
His 2014 film The Visitors won the Kids Jury Prize at the New York International Children’s Film Festival.
His 2017 film Superperson won Best Short at the Barcelona Children’s Film Festival, and he completed an animated segment on the number 7 for Sesame Street that same year.
Philip Watts also works as television editor, working on many TV shows including the internationally acclaimed Wentworth.
