Vittoria
Synopsis
Jasmine, a Neopolitan hairdresser in her forties, seems to have it all: a devoted husband, three sons and her own hair salon. After the death of her father, however, she becomes haunted by a recurring dream that sparks in her an intense desire to have a daughter.
The second feature film from Alessandro Cassigoli and Casey Kauffman, this intimate epic is even more moving because it traces the lived experience of a family … who play themselves. Filmed with close-ups in a nod to the documentary genre, and shot through with urgency, Vittoria fully embraces the visceral desire of its heroine.
